"Harnessing the Science of Fisheries for Food, Nutrition and Livelihood"

Exhibition conducted by PKKCeSA at Women’s Christian College, Nagercoil

The Women’s Christian College, Nagercoil has organized an Animal World exhibition on 07.09.2017 to 09.09.2017 in their college campus.  The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Nirmala Manual,  Principal, WCC.  ParakkaiKK Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture participated in this exhibition and displayed different varieties of ornamental fishes, wild native fishes, loaches, live feed like tubifex worm in different glass tanks and bowls. Various digital charts on Indian major carps, Exotic carps and brochures were also exhibited for creating awareness on the important aspects of fisheries for future protein requirements.  Around 2000 school, college students and teachers were visited the stall. Flyers and folders on different aspects of ornamental fish farming were distributed to the visitors and asked to contact the centre for further farming necessities.  The activities of the Centre have also been explained to the visitors and the doubts raised by the students and staff were clarified.
