Republic Day Celebrations of the Centres for Sustainable Aquaculture

The Directorate of Centres for Sustainable Aquaculture had made elaborate arrangements for celebrating the 69th Republic Day of the Country in all its Centres.

Directorate of Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture, Thanjavur:

At the Directorate, Dr. J. Stephen Sampath Kumar, Director, DCeSA hoisted the tricolour flag at 8: 45 am from the top of the newly constructed Directorate office situated at Soorakottai, Thanjavur. Dr. K. Senthil Kumar, Assistant Professor and Head i/c., TCeSA had made arrangements for the flag hoisting ceremony. The workers present at the Directorate were invited to participate in the event as a sort of appreciation and gratitude for their services.

Krishnagiri Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture:

            Dr. P. Chidambaram, Associate Professor and Head i/c., hoisted the tricolour flag in front of the KCeSA office at Barur in Krishnagiri District. The Teaching Assistant and the Field Assistants of the centre made arrangements for the flag hoisting ceremony at the behest of the Associate Professor and Head, KCeSA. On the occasion, the village leaders from the nearby Pungampatti Panchayat were invited to participate in the event

Erode Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture:

At ECeSA, Dr.S.Aanand, Assistant Professor and Head i/c hoisted the national flag from the top of the office building at 8: 45 am. Ms. Rajeswari, Teaching Assistant, Mr. Samadhurai, Field Assistants and Mr. Ponnusamy, Fisherman joined the flag hoisting ceremony

Kanyakumari Ganapathipuram Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture:

The National Flag was hoisted by Dr. C. Judith Betsy, Assistant Professor, KKGCeSA at 8:25 am following the Flag Codes of India. The commands were delivered by Mr. D. Arun Jenish, Teaching Assistant, KKGCeSA. The Assistant Professor delivered a short speech about the Constitution of India and emphasized the fundamental rights and duties of the Citizens of India. Totally 7 persons working in the Centre were present on the occasion

Kanyakumari Parrakai Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture:

At Parakkai Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture hoisting of the tricolour flag was done by Dr. C. Judith Betsy, Assistant Professor, KKGCeSA at 8: 55 am. In order to mark the importance of the day, badges affixed with the tricolour flag was distributed to the staff and students by the centre. A total of fifteen persons graced the occasion. Arrangements for the Republic day celebrations at KKPCeSA and the decorations of the flag hoisting site were done by the Professor and Head, KKPCeSA

Ramanathapuram Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture:

            The tricolour flag was hoisted in front of the Marine Finfish Hatchery building inside RCeSA campus at 8: 50 am. The Assistant Professor and Head i/c, Dr. C. Anand had made arrangements for the flag hoisting ceremony. The Project staff of the centre and fishermen from the nearby hamlets were invited for the flag hoisting ceremony

Snacks and Refreshments

Arrangements were made by the Directorate in all the Centres to distribute snacks/breakfast to the staff, participants, guests and invitees.
